| How often do Dynamic Splints need to be washed? |
Splints must be washed at least once a week with extra care

| How do I wash my Dynamic Splint? |
For splints to perform at their best they must be treated with care. They should be washed by hand in warm water using a mild, non abrasive detergent e.g. Lux Flakes. Rinse garment well and gently towel dry. Dry garment away from direct sunlight. Alternatively, garments can be washed in a front loader washing machine if first placed in a pillow slip or lingerie bag and washed on Gentle cycle only.

| How often do Dynamic Splints need to be replaced? |
Dynamic Splints should be replaced every 12 months due to wear and tear and to accommodate growth and changes in posture/function

| If I have a colostomy, tracheostomy or gastrostomy , baclophen pump is that a problem? |
All the splints are custom made to fit each client and designed to accommodate all medical needs.

| How hot is it to wear dynamic splints? |
In the warmer weather, we can suggest practical ways to reduce heat in your splint, such as reduced wearing time or staying indoors with air conditioning when splint is worn.

| I have epilepsy, can I still wear a Dynamic Body Splint? |
Body Splints have multiple zippers and can easily be undone during seizures. Splint should be removed during a Grand Mal seizure as soon as possible.

| How do you access the toilet with a Dynamic Body Splint? |
Body Splints are custom made and can be made with an open pubis to access toilet without taking splint off. We can show you techniques to maximise access using the open pubis.
