Basque Boning
We have introduced a removable 'basque' component which contains most of the boning.
As you can see in the photos, the basque sits across the back and is shaped to contour the trunk.
This has been developed to maximise wear for those clients who spend a lot of time floor based,
or are involved in lying or plinth programs during the day.
The basque is easily removable for these activities and reattaches with 2 simple zippers (positioned along sides of trunk)when the client is able to be upright.
This reduces the need for the body splint to be taken on and off
throughout the day, thus improving the ease of handling
and splint management minimising the fuss for the client
and allowing more consistent wear.
