To better serve all our clients across Australia, New Zealand, UK and Ireland we have increased our design and productions teams based at our Perth Head office. This has also meant an expansion to the current production and design space for our customised splints and compression garments, and this all happened recently over a few busy weeks.
This expansion plan has been in the pipeline for several months and the feeling was it would also give us a great opportunity to reconfigure the layout of the entire design, production and admin floor to improve the flow of our splints and garments to our clients. After a consultation process with the Perth team was concluded, the final plans were announced and the redevelopment could begin.
One of the key objectives was to make better use of the floor space we have, so as well as a major clear out, the physical space would also be transformed. Management offices were knocked down and replaced with a new product development area and the entire floor space was cleared to lay a new carpet, which was cleared and laid over a weekend! Additional space was also created on the second floor by converting the board room into a neurological design space, and admin offices into a dedicated lower limb design studio. This was only made possible through the flexibility and patience of our fantastic production, design and admin teams, who ensured there was no impact on our client orders, which remained our priority throughout this disruption.
This exciting redevelopment will allow us to fulfill more client orders and will also streamline the product journey for our splints and compression garments through design, production and quality control. It will also create workspaces for our teams with better ergonomics, and more natural light, while also reducing clutter and general noise levels within the office, which will benefit everyone.
We still have work to do, including installing a set of brand-new sewing machines from Japan, that will assist in increasing our production capacity and ensure we continue to produce our splints and garments to the highest quality. It has been a phenomenal effort by everyone involved and we look forward to being able to better serve our clients, carers and fellow health practitioners as a result.
