Senior Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist 12month contract Full time or part time – Melbourne based

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our busy team in our clinic in Notting Hill, Melbourne.  Our services include the assessment, prescription, fitting and follow up of clients wearing custom-made dynamic splints and compression garments for paediatric, adolescent and adult clients with a wide range of neurological and other medical conditions.

We are looking for an experienced therapist who is flexible, innovative and passionate about delivering exceptional client services and developing their own skills.  The role has a strong emphasis on advanced clinical reasoning, assessment skills and a client centered approach for all ages.  This is not a sales-based position.

The successful candidate must be able to work independently and alongside the therapy, design and production teams.  The role will be assisted by dedicated administrative support.  You will have the opportunity for professional development, including in-house training and supervision as well as support to attend relevant CPD activities.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing a clinical caseload, assessing, measuring, prescribing, fitting and reviewing custom-made dynamic splints and compression garments for neurological and other medical conditions
  • Working closely with our Senior Therapist and Therapy Assistant to manage the clinical case load
  • Liaising with the Clinic Coordinators to plan and organise client clinics
  • Providing consultative and educational support to health care professionals

Work Hours & Benefits:

  • 12month contract, full time or part time hours (minimum 24hours/week)

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with paediatric and/or adult clients with neurological conditions
  • Demonstrated strong team-work, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest and willingness to develop new skills
  • An ability to travel intrastate and interstate to support regional centres as required
  • Current driver’s license and vehicle
  • AHPRA professional registration
  • Working with Children check or similar
  • NDIS Worker Screening check
  • Have the right to work in the Australia
  • Agree to comply with the Company’s policies and procedures including the vaccination policy
